Council Committee Structure
Besides being a member of Council, many Councillors, along with the Mayor and community representatives are members of a number of additional committees.
Corporate and Environment Committee
Responsible for: To overview and where necessary, determine activities in the Corporate and Environment Groups.

Grants Committee
Responsible for: To distribute grants and loan monies within the guidelines of Council and outside funding agencies.

Tirau Community Board
Responsible for: To overview Council activities within the ward and to consider/report on matters of concern to the Ward.
