Council's consultation process is an important part of the South Waikato District's democratic process. Council recognises the importance and value of consultation. To this end, Council has a range of consultation methods to enable a broader range of people to be involved than that which is strictly required by legislation.
Council encourages residents to express their concerns, questions and ideas to staff or Elected Members. Improved communication between residents and Council will help Council to make good decisions and can save time and money.
Is there something you want Council to know? The most effective way to talk to Council is to make written submissions on the Draft Long Term Plan or Draft Annual Plan. One of these documents is published and available for submissions each year, sometime between March and April. If you would rather not wait, write us a letter, call us on 07 885 0340 or send us an email.
